Victor R. Sumulong (May 19, 1946 – January 6, 2009) was a Filipino politician. Sumulong was the son of Lorenzo Sumulong, who served in the Philippine Senate for 21 years and once famously provoked Soviet Union premier Nikita Khrushchev to bang his shoe at the United Nations. He was married to Michelle Jalandoni-Sumulong, with whom he had three children. ==Education== Sumulong received his elementary education at De La Salle College and his high school education at the Ateneo de Manila. He graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in political science in 1968. Sumulong obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law in 1973, and subsequently from the same university, a Master of Laws degree. As a student, Sumulong was elected to the university student councils of both the Ateneo de Manila and the University of the Philippines.
